You will rise relatively early for a jovial cup of tea to give you the energy needed for gorilla tracking with packed

This trek can take from half an hour to five hours therefore, a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes. On top of that, there are other animals and birds which you could see on the way. You will spend only one hour with the gorillas as you listen, watch and marvel at them. It is amazing, for one to be in audience with these giants and think they
would attack you. However, these gentle giants as they are known don’t attack anybody unless they are threatened, and sometimes, they tease you by jumping up and down and hitting their chests to scare you and see what your reaction would be. Under the circumstances, it is advisable not to look at them directly into
their eyes, but look down and don’t show any jocular actions that may be interpreted as an attack to them, keep silence and talk in small tones. And after one hour, they will leave you where you are or your guide will tell you when to depart. If you have the afternoon free, we could walk to the water fall nearby or you can take a guided village amongst the locals. Return at your lodge for an overnight and dinner as above.

After breakfast you will transfer for
your day activity, (you might carry packed lunch) later return to the hotel for
rest, late lunch, dinner and overnight as above.
Option 1:
Climb Mount Sabinyo
Mount Sabinyo offers three challenging peaks to climb. The trail takes you up a
ridge along the Eastern side of peak 1. If you wish to continue, the climb to
peak 2 involves walking a ridge with breath taking drops into the gorges of
Rwanda and Uganda. Finally, the hike up to peak 3 is steep with several ladders
and much scrambling. You are sure to get your hands dirty en route to peak 3.
On top of peak 3 (3669 meter) you will be in Rwanda, Uganda and Congo at the
same time!
Option 2: Hike
in Sabinyo Gorge
This hike takes you deep into Sabinyo’s lush gorge. It is moist, with thick
vegetation and there is a beautiful moss-lined stream along the walk. This
trail reveals the true height of Mount Sabinyo. At the end of the gorge, you
find yourself looking straight up at the peaks. With the peaks up and a small
waterfall by your side, the end of the gorge is a great spot for a rest. Keep
your binoculars ready! The gorge is one of the best birding spots of the park.
Option 3: Batwa
Experience
Batwa trail gives you a lifetime experience
to learn about their day-to-day life of the first people who lived in the
forest spend time with people of small stature but with a big heart. Visiting
the Batwa is a moving experience. Listening to their tales about the forest life
the community used to enjoy and learning of their forceful eviction.
Note: Be aware that if you are
out-of-shape or unaccustomed to hiking, this experience may not be for you. The
trail up to where the experience is held is rather narrow and quite steep at
times.
